all work and no play has made me a very very very BORING person. there's nothing to play in singapore, except watching movies and shopping and singing k and cycling at ecp (when i dunno how to cycle) and nothing else!!
Singapore is such a boring place. how i wish i m in some countryside, where i could drive along the highway, feeling the breeze in my face, stopping occassionally to take in the view. of course, the place must be dry (unlike humid singapore) and have lots of cool breezes!
someone, oh someone, pls give me some suggestions on what kind of activities there are in singapore. I hate and hot crowded places. Haha! that leaves me with very little activities to do eh?
sigh.. till the next time..

been thinking a lot
gone through the pits
stood up tall and strong
made a confession
yet to confront my true self
i have been waiting
waiting for work to come
waiting for frens to stop by
waiting for happiness to visit
waiting for hugs
i like a hectic life
a really busy one
filled with lots of appt
meeting my loved ones
greeting all with smiles
some frens stay true
others are just passing by
i have identified who's who
time to move on to the truer ones
been trying to stay slim
all to no avail
ended up eating more
gotta curb myself
and curb him as well
and her story goes on...

I made a discovery this morning. I realised humans of all races and genders are equally selfish and “kiasu”.
There is this Caucasian lady at my house’s bus stop that never fails to squeeze her way through to the entrance of the bus just so that she can be the first to get a seat. She won’t even say “excuse me”, simply using her hand and huge butt to slice through the crowd. After that came this petite Chinese lady who allowed her bag to hit others while she was getting her sweater out. On a side note, her make up is clearly not thick enough to cover the “potholes” on her face.
I happened to be standing on the bus. So when a guy sitting down wanted to alight, I had to make way for him. I moved to the side and as soon as I moved and the guy moved out, the petite lady just kept pushing her way through till she’s right beside the seat and asked me in Chinese, “Do you want to sit?” Hello? By your tone of asking, if I said yes, I would be asking for trouble right? But never mind, shan’t pick on people with disgusting makeup and complexion.
Then I saw an Indian guy in his mid 50s, consistently having his eyebrows knitted together. I wonder if he’s always like that because he’s deep in thought or because all the whole world owes him a living? Haha..
If you think that Caucasians are very gentlemen, then you are wrong big time. They are just as selfish and ungentlemanly as Asians, if not worse. They won’t give way when you want to alight; neither will they let a lady sit first. They don’t hold the doors for you and they won’t say thanks when you hold the door for them.
This is a very selfish world. Survival of the fittest. Not a smile or a word of thanks. Why can’t everyone be friendlier? Why do you have to squeeze your way out of a train when everyone’s alighting too, only to end up just slightly ahead of others? Why can’t you smile and say “thanks” when people give way to you?
If only everyone remembers the Golden Rule, “Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you”, the world will be a much better place.

I finally managed to upload pics onto blogger! whoo! haha.. here are some pics from my bday celebration..
we spent a wonderful day/night at Fullerton Hotel, having chosen the "Time for Two" package.
It comes with dinner in the room, buffet breakfast, bubble baths, complimentary roses and bathrobes for u to bring home!
i m too lazy to narrate a lot.. so the pics will tell the story..
1. our room, bathroom.. (super big, cozy, nice view overseeing the IR, Flyer, NDP floating platform, Shenton Way, Marina Square, Esplanade...)

2. The hotel premises

3. Taking a stroll around Shenton Way before our dinner is due in our room..

4. Our dinner with the view and NDP Preview (Stan was the waiter for the day)

5. Best part of the dinner (NDP fireworks! see the "heart" shape fireworks at the bottom left hand corner?)
of coz, the best part of the night was Stan's cheesecake that he made himself.. =)

6. Buffet breakfast that cost $105 for two of us, luckily it's included in the package.. We took 2 hours to eat and still couldn't try finish everything there..

7. Went swimming before checking out.. Wanna go back there again sometime soon!!

That's all, folks!
Sorry been working already, no pics to take... haha..

Sorry for the lack of updates for so long..
Been busy with work and everything.. Will be posting up pics of my birthday celebration, Fullerton Buffet (which i treated my family to with my first paycheck), and some philosophical thoughts of my own.
My cousins came over to my house to stay for 2 months since July 6 and there's still 2 more weeks to go. They are having school holidays in Shanghai so my uncle wants them to study in Singapore school for the time being. I did not agree to any of this at all, and now I have two monsters in my house and my bed is being taken over by them. since work has started, i have never been able to wake up on a weekday in my bed. sigh..
anyway, i promise to update again real soon! haha.. i dun even know who am i promising to.. who reads this space anyway..

Having finished my second week of work, I feel less stressed now.
Tax computations are swimming around in my head.
Now is the weekends, time to play hard.
We have done the photoshoot for Stanfordgirls' new website last Sunday but the pics will not be revealed till the whole website is done. We all have a part to do and Stan & I are really grateful to Edwin (the grand photographer cum website designer) for all his hard work thus far!
We will be launching many new stuff along with the website, so pls keep your eyes peeled and keep watching this space! All latest updates will be posted here!
Pls show your support and help us to spread the word of Stanfordgirls all around! =)

into the 4th day of my working life
revising tax concepts
stressed out
feet hurt
so much things to do
so little time to do
commitments to tend to
feelings to be sensitive to
forbearance is gold
