hi hi!!

i know you guys are complaining that i ain't blogging.. haha.. truth is, i m just simply too busy to even browse the web, let alone blog!! pai seh ah.. so here i am, to take a quick break to blog before studying again..

sch has been really xiong for me.. can't imagine wad will life be if i take more than 4 modules this sem.. it's not easy just to keep up with the many readings, tutorials, quiz next week that takes up 20% of my final grade, and 5 disgusting system flowcharts to draw for IT.. drawing one takes me 1hour! and i m totally exhausted after that.. sigh.. guess i m just too stupid.. haha

yesterday i was supposed to go for "physics of sports" elective lecture with reika.. she say lunch at can B was satisfying, so we went to the vendor machine outside the NBS office to buy pocky, her fave.. the pocky dropped and got stuck at the latch there.. amazingly, another packet dropped out.. so being greedy ppl, we tried to knock the second pack out, so that we can get two packets of Pocky for the price of one! haha.. there was one uncle sitting on the bench behind us and i think he saw us knocking on the machine.. i told reika, if the uncle happens to be a director from pwc, i think we have just killed all our chances of getting in there.. haha..

back to the lecture, like i said, we were SUPPOSED to be there.. but at 2.30, we left for jp.. reika say wanna buy shoes and bags.. did you know what did we end up doing? we went for a manicure that costs us $12 when another shop is offering for $5!! the reason we din go to the $5 was that it was full and there were two batches of waiting lists.. sigh..

then we only finished the manicure at 4.20, only having to rush back to ntu as reika has a lecture.. haha.. the manicurist says that it takes one hour for our nails to get fully dry.. so our fingers were pretty stiff.. dun laugh, its our first time doing a manicure! we both wanted to remove it but thinkin of the $12 that we spent, we just left the polish on our nails.. haha.. funny right? we say next time we will just go into misha and get $2 per bottle of polish and experiment on each other.. haha.. told u it was an impulse thing.. now we are full of regret..

i dunno about solomon, but stan said that the colour doesn't suit me.. sigh.. and my mom exclaimed "why u choose this INDIAN colour?" gosh, i had no idea that pink is indian.. haha.. my dad say i vain.. my bro din see it.. haha..

yea, so that's all about our exciting and impulsive adventure at JP.. the adventures of Garfield and Snoopy will continue! haha..

sigh... back to reality.. study time.. =(

haven been blogging for almost a week le.. nothing much has been happening..

went chalet on mon, tues and wed.. invited reika and solomon, yihui and ivan over for a bbq.. hope they all had a great time.. well, i did, at least..

there are always benefits and costs to everything.. at the expense of my studies, i went ahead for the chalet.. although it was great and we had many fun memories there, i ended up missing many lessons.. so now must mug mug mug!!

hiya all..

my life has been monotonous.. seriously, i think life sucks to the core.. nothing i do is right, everyday i just live one day by one day.. a few ups, a few downs.. well, actually, make that no ups at all..

i sorta quarelled with one of my close frens yesterday.. no one to share this kinda woes with me.. (gettin very emo eh?) have been frens for 6,7 years.. i guess yesterday was the first argument we had.. what kind of person am i turning into? why am i always picking fights with ppl? why do i keep giving a sian face to others? why am i like this? why why why??

yesterday i showed stan a sian face.. i guess i was feelin sian after i quarrelled with my fren. i wanted so much to tell him about this, but when i saw him, i guess i just directed my anger at him. i admit that this is my fault. we were supposed to go to Al Ameen (one of the Malay stores opp Beauty World) for lunch. He had said before that he hasn't ate prata in a long time, so i suggested going there. So when he was about to reach my house, he sms me to ask me to change and get ready. I was thinking, "it's just Al Ameen, what's there to change? are we going another place after lunch?" nevertheless, i still changed. but i hate to wear nicely to coffeeshops coz i see no point in it. so i ended up wearing a top and denim skirt to Al Ameen and after lunch we headed back to my place.

i should have just worn my fbt shorts and tee.. when i asked him why he ask me to change, he said that he was just asking me if i wanna change and informed me that he was reaching soon. well, it definitely din sound that way to me.. well, i guess you can say that i am a very particular person..

i am most definitely not happy right now.. very frustrated at my own actions.. how i wish i can keep my hp away and not msg anyone or receive any msg from anyone.. i hate myself.. sometimes it's so much easier to write about my own emotions than to tell anyone.. i have gotta to keep myself busy.. or i will just let my mind wander and get angry with stan.. who will then in turn get angry with me..

can anyone tell me how to divert my anger away from ppl and just self-inflict it on myself? i dun wanna show a black face to stan.. but i can't help it.. so i need some way to control my own emotions.. shall i keep everything to myself? wad's becoming of me?

so tired and sick of studying.. dunno why, recently i m just not in the mood to study, keeping having to fight the urge to sleep.. guess i haven been really happy, that's why there's no motivation to study well.. wad to do? just gotta keep pushing pushing and more pushing! after this must go study aa201, i dun wanna do badly again.. that feeling sucks..

okok, reika has been complaining that i never blog about her, so now i will talk more about her. sorry there's no pic of her yet coz i haven transferred the pic from my phone to the comp. sorry fat cat. (*haha*)

yesterday we were supposed to go for an elective lecture at LT23 together at 1.30pm. i din wanna go at first, but reika kept telling me that we can't pon this semester. so i unwillingly went in the end lor. who knows? when we stepped into the LT at 1.35pm, it was packed!! but there was a musty smell in the air, very disgusting. having a sensitive nose, my bestest fren (REIKA HUE) immediately went into a fit of sneezes. haha..

when the time came for the lecturer to give the first break at 2.2opm, we were carrying our bags and running out of the LT as fast as our legs could bring us! haha.. it was disgusting and the lecturer is a foreigner, so i couldn't really understand what he was trying to say. partly also due to my own hearing problem ba.

then the dependent woman REIKA called solomon to come NTU to pick her up. Haha! speaking of ponning! she fled faster than i did.. i still linger around in sch with Hui Min till 4pm.. the two of us just kept on chatting lor.. nothing better to mah..

ya, so that's my bestest fren.. she's a nice girl, always looking out for me. but we can't hang out together too often due to different modules and timetables. another reason? put the two of us together and you will get two fat pigs! we simply love to eat you know?

haven been blogging for some time..

school started today.. went for my first class at 8.30am, erps.. the tutor is a partner at KPMG and teaches part-time at NBS.. well, after attending her class, i am more than ever determined to change class! there's no one i know there, the tutor's not ideal..

so i came home, quickly logging onto STARS so that i can change my index number for AA201. Haha, i have heard lots of things about another tutor but i couldn't get into his class. thus, i had to try my luck and change to another number. Wahahaha! i am so lucky! i changed to 00060 and now i am in his class!! whoo!

but one bad point, i have a 4 day week now. haha..

today soon hui and i met at queensway. the shopping centre opposite IKEA has this restaurant called "Disney Naturally". we decided to give it a try. the food is not very exp but the cutlery is not "disney" at all.. quite disappointing.. haha... below are some pics for your reference..

it's been a while since i have met up with soon hui.. it's a really fruitful chat.. never had so much laughter and jokes at one go.. shared so many childhood stories.. haha.. i wanna thank soon hui for the treat and the lunchbox.. i will store sh*t for you using that box!! muahahah.. just kidding

1 jan 2008, my family and i went for the Penang Hawker Fare buffet at the York Hotel at Orchard. it is really famous and it's an annual event. there are no reservations allowed, so you have to go earlier. the turnout was really good and it costs $23.80++ per person..

A place called Here..


That's the title of the book tat i have recently finished reading.. it is written by cecelia ahern, one of my fave authors. you never know what to expect when reading her novels. they are just simply beyond anyone's imagination.

as usual, i can assure you that this book is a guaranteed must buy. on the cover page, it writes "have you ever wondered where missing things go?" it's a really good question for us to ponder upon, no one ever thought about it right? we just know that they are missing, we will find them back someday, if not, it doesn't matter, we can do without it.

in this book, the place Here (yup, you read correctly, the place where missing things go is called Here) is another dimension of the world that only missing things and people go. they stay in their own village because once they reach Here, they have never been able to find the way out to the normal world anymore.

people wear clothes that used to be owned by others but now are missing and they all turn up in Here. they lead a whole new life with new found love and give birth to babies. they do not use cash to buy things. they do trading. everything they have is found on the streets. if you have forgotten about your loved ones' laughter, the laughter will float over to the place called Here..
it is a touching novel and it reminds of many things that you have once lost or forgotten about.. it teaches one to cherish everything he/she has.. love is something not to be taken for granted.. in Here, you will find closure for your lost emotions and thoughts..

it is a fascinating read and i urge all of you to read this book asap. i am definitely looking forward to her next book.. haha..

after coming back from perth, i just realised that i quite enjoyed the trip.. other than the time spent on the Qantas airplane (i got on Qantas because SQ was fully booked. i m never going on a Qantas or any other aircraft other than SQ).

this was a golden opportunity for me to spend some true quality time with my family. while i was there, i din really enjoy it. but on hindsight, i just seem to remember all the beautiful times and forgotten all about the tiring times that we had..

we may have certain conflicts at times.. but it's ultimately my family members and stan and my closest frens who will always be by my side.. at times i may dislike my brother for being so irritating and not understanding.. but i still love him..

i wanna thank my dad for working so hard all these years to provide for this family.. he has been through a lot of stress at work.. but he never fails to put on a smile when talking to us.. he never brings back his troubles, only sharing the little interesting stories he has.. i really love him a lot..

and my mom too, she quit her work to take care of my bro and i.. without her strict discipline, we would never be where we are today.. now my bro is studying in HCJC and my mom is depending on him to become a doctor one day.. i believe he can do it and we all place high hopes on him.. that's why we dote on him so much..

everyone of us play an important role in this family.. we cannot do without each other.. so here comes my new year resolution: to treat my loved ones better.. i will push myself harder to get satisfactory results to make my parents happy, earn more money so that i won't have to take my dad's money.. so that there will be more money for them to spend.. i want to work hard to get myself a good career to be able to look after my parents.. they want to stay in a bungalow, i want to give them that.. they want a tour around the world, i want to bring them to Europe, UK, USA, Japan, China, Hong Kong.. i want to work hard to earn money for my brother's university education..

last but not least, i want to be able to be there for stan.. he wants to start up a business and we will need capital for that.. since i will be graduating earlier than him, i want to work hard and save every cent i can.. that means spending less and studying harder..

i love my dad, my mom, stan and my bro.. and my close frens.. you guys know who you are.. thanks for being there when i need you.. i love you..

now i am finally going to blog about my trip in Perth.. a personal review of the place.. IMPT note: don't go there during christmas! i will explain why.. firstly, they don't work for 3 consecutive days, from 24 to 26dec. all shops are closed, it's hard to find a decent restaurant and there is not a single soul in sight! they charge a 10% surcharge on your total bill on public holidays. which means a bill of AUD$50 will cost you AUD$55 on Christmas day! (btw, the exchange rate is AUD$1 = SGD$1.30)

so we spent the first three days sightseeing, walking around empty streets.. there is only one good thing out of this, no one will walk past you when you are trying to take a photograph of a famous statue. haha..

finally came 27 Dec, where all the shops are open again! we went down south of Perth to Magaret River. we never booked our accomodation in advance because our itinerary is not fixed. so we had a big headache on this day! everyone rushed down to Magaret River and so all the hotels and motels are fully booked!! i dunno if we are considered lucky, the lady at the tourist centre said there was a last minute cancellation and so there was this Deluxe Spa Suite available. the price? AUD$330 a night. that's like daylight robbery! so my family and i vowed to make the fullest use of the Spa facilities in that room. we had to take it up, the nearby accomodation are all fully booked!! we only had a budget of AUD$200 for each night's stay, so we have greatly exceeded our budget. fret not, we will just find a cheaper alternative for the next day's stay. hah.. back to the room, it was totally not worth 330 at all! the SPA is just a built-in jaccuzzi in the bathroom. so after showering, we filled up the whole tub with water and soaked in it.. haha.. one of us at a time lah, each one taking around 30 mins.. haha.. must make full use of it mah..

i bought a pair of white shorts for AUD$19.95 (usual price was AUD$39.95). the material is quite good and thick. whoo! and we ate this humongous ice-cream for only AUD$3.75. haha, it is from a famous Fudge Factory in Magaret River. you get to choose two flavours, the girl gave us really huge scoops! so i chose caramel and my bro chose espresso! yummy-licious!

the shopping at Perth is crazy! the Aussies spend so much on Post-Christmas Shopping that the Central Bank is considering to raise the interest rates to curb inflation. the discounts given are awesome! every thing is at least 50% off! i bought a summer dress for AUD$20 only! that is only SGD$26! a pair of beach shorts for AUD$6.95, a satin bubble skirt for AUD$9.95, two tees for AUD$10 each, a bag for AUD$4.95 (the usual price is AUD$49.95!!!) and some accessories from Diva, the shop that you see all over Singapore now. the items i bought from Diva is at least 80% off their usual price!!

speaking of the bag, it was supposed to be priced at AUD$9.95, but the staff tagged it wrongly. so i got it at a steal price of only AUD$4.95!! haha.. the bag is nice, you may have seen it in singapore, may cost at least $40 in Singapore.

in case you are wondering, i din buy any shoes there. there is NOVO in perth, but the designs are really old and they are not cheap! at least AUD$29. they dun sell my fave rubbery shoes at NOVO and we have much more creative and wild designs here in Singapore as compared to Perth. So girls, buy your shoes in Singapore! we are really lucky to have such great variety of shoes here. =D

the staff at the shops of Perth are really weird. some of them smile and are really friendly. others just put on a black face. everyone there starts off their sentence with "How ya doing?" you are supposed to reply "Great, how about you?" haha.. can you imagine a black-faced girl asking you about your day? haha.. but heck about their attitude. as my dad says, the poorer their attitude, the better it is for us. so that Singapore sales staff can outshine the rest in other countries and our quality of service and ultimately our economy will improve!

i am amazed at my dad.. his brains just stretch beyond anything.. you can ask him about anything under the sky (other than biology stuff) and he will be able to answer your question.. ahha..

one thing that i will never be able to get used to in perth, that is the drinking water there. we boiled the water in perth so that we can put in bottles for next day's consumption. but it tastes salty!! just slightly salty, but it still tastes very different from the one in Singapore. we din know on the first day and no one believed me when i told them that the water is different. so we ended up buying mineral water and drinking them for the rest of our trip! haha.. expensive water..
