Hi everyone! We are back from Taipei! I have arranged some pics for all!
We reached Changi Airport T3 at 9.45am, all ready to check in our luggage! My luggage weighs only 10kg before going Taipei. Because the flight is only at 12 plus, we had to grab a bite before boarding the plane.
At first, we did not really dare to wear masks on board the plane. But when we were still shopping around at the DFS area, stan's mom called to tell us that Singapore has its first case of H1N1. It was then we decided that we really had to take enough precautions. When we were on the plane, quite many people wore masks, so we wore it too.

The hotel we stayed at was quite good. The buffet breakfast changes menu everyday! For the 6 mornings we stayed there, the main dishes were different everyday! We had lobster salad, xiao long bao and much much more!!

The hotel was relatively simple with no gym or swimming pool, but they had a 24 hr computers for us to access the internet and email. But the room is amazing! Sony Bravia LCD Tv mounted on the wall!! I think the tv is 42 inches. There's a tv inside the toilet too!! That's why I can take up to 30 mins to shower!! Haha.. They have a microwave in the room, so we will buy some baked rice to microwave and enjoy as our supper!!
Day 2: We went to Taipei Underground Mall. That's what I love about Taipei, even if it's raining outside, I can still enjoy my favourite activity, shopping with Stan!! My cute boy bought many One Piece figurines and he still can't get enough of it! We ate snacks along the way whenever we feel hungry.. We went for a proper dinner at the Shin Kong Shopping Centre opposite our hotel. The food court looks like a restaurant! We shared a huge hotpot of udon and it only costs SGD$8!
Day 3:We went to Xi Men Ding as Stan has been intending to cut his hair in Taiwan. So as we were checking out a few salons' prices, we went into this shop called "Luan Jian" (Anyhow Cut). We bumped into the lady boss. The first price she quoted was TWD400 plus, so we said thanks, but we will look around. Then she lowered the price and finally to TWD240. It seems like we had no choice but to go in. Anyway it was only SGD$11.
The place was really cool. We were carrying quite some shopping buys, the lady boss served us personally by getting our stuff in the lockers, bringing us 2 iced lemon teas and even switching on the Tv for us!
There were TVs in between two haircut stations. So i sat at one watching Tv while the hairstylist work his magic on stan's hair. He's really good! Haha.. There were other customers playing PS2 while having their hair cut! How cool is that? After all these, I was so tempted to get my hair washed and do a treatment.. but sigh.. we had a small argument the next day and so i din get anything done..
Day 4: Since the shops in Taipei will only open in the afternoon, we booked a KTV room in the morning to experience the difference in Karaokes between SG and Taiwan! They had buffet but it was nth to boast of, the food is very limited and not very nice. Haha.. But they had a very cool remote control which enables our voice to change to Donald Duck's, Robot's, from male to female, from female to male! Haha.. What's best is that they have a toilet en suite every karaoke room, so it saves the time and trouble of having to walk such a long distance to the toilet and trying to find your own room after that.. Haha..
But it was rather hard to find the songs you want. They don't really have new songs and they classify singers by their number of strokes on their surname! So i counted the strokes of the a surname and tried to find it, then I realised they used "fan ti"!! Argh.. haha.. Well, it's quite an experience..
We went to Shilin Night Market at night and ate lots of good food and bought lots of stuff! Really happy memories!! =) Thanks to my dearie!
Day 5:We went to the shopping centres near Taipei 101 today. We didn't bother to go Taipei 101 as we have been there last year already. We saw this bus that was painted with Gundam pictures all over! Stan was high and he took the picture!
What was really amusing that there was this beauty pageant going on too. They were looking for Grape Princess (Bu Tao Gong Zhu) and it was a national annual event! I can't believe it! All the contestants looked like 30plus and they wore shiny dresses like those we seen in Singapore GeTai!! Lolx..
Day 6: We went to Xin Bei Tou for a spring (wen quan). We have missed the bus up the hill so we decided to just walk to the hotel and enjoy the scenery on the way. It was an eye-opener. Even though it was tiring, it was really fun! We chatted, tried to find our way around, took in the beautiful scenery around us.
I have never felt so relaxed in such a long time le.. I feel really lucky to be able to go on this trip with Stanley Quek, he takes very good care of me! Well, I take care of him sometimes too.. When he's too tired, I will give him a massage, cover his blanket, cuddle him to sleep.. I hope he likes it!
We went to Dan Shui after that! Boy, were we lucky that day! It was a really great day, the clouds blocked out the sun and it was a really great place to just take a stroll, look at the vintage games and stuff that we will never be able to find in the modern Singapore! We ate Fermented Tofu (Smelly Tofu). I love it totally!! Good stuff!
We went Xi Men Ding for some last min shopping and ate dinner at TonKatsu. I had a set meal (comprising of miso soup, cabbage, pork katsu cutlet, rice, pickles, scallop trimmings, mochi with vanilla ice cream) which only costs SGD$7!! And they have free flow of rice, miso soup and cabbage! =)
Last Day:We managed to squeeze all our buys onto the bed and into our luggages after hours of struggling. Haha.. We bought an extra bag to store the stuff that we can't put into our luggages. And we love the cup noodles there (even Stan loves it, he usually doesn't eat cup noodles) so we bought 9 cups back!! Haha.. I can't resist it! They have real meat inside and it's not even vacuumed packed!! it's really soft and juicy!! Yummy!
The bottom left corner pic consists of candies we bought at Xi Men Ding. Look carefully and you will see syringes, condoms, sanitary pads, viagra, french fries and plasters!! Don't worry, they are just candy! Haha..

I really had a great trip this time! I really enjoyed myself thoroughly with Stan. I dunno when's the next time I will be able to go overseas with Stan without any burdens or stress from work. I will be starting work soon and I will hold these memories close to my heart forever!
Most importantly, I want to tell you, Stan, that I love you and I want to be with you forever! Let's stay happy together k?
